Nobody Said It Was Easy

March 30, 2009

Oh take me back to the start.
(I’ll make it through this week, again.)

The Weekend

March 29, 2009

Essential Brew, on love, life and friends. Asshole you didn’t tell me for FOUR MONTHS! how could you do this to me! But Friday night was fun. (Outside the Frolick stall catching up) Saturday Night was fun too though I wished I could stay out a bit longer. Sunday Night now, and I sit here wondering where the weekend disappeared to. It’s as though time has failed me again and I’m left with no work moved since the last Friday.

That’s alright, no regrets so far.

Positive Tension

March 25, 2009

SO, I saw Coldplay 2 nights ago.

AND I completed my EE and Math Portfolio on Sunday night.

BUT, the madness never ends

BECAUSE I’m left with World Lit, History IA, TOK Presentation, TOK Essay, and after that by then I would have gotten myEE back.

SO, it’s a complete cycle and we’re back to square one. That’s life.

BUT, I’ve got my friends who’ve got my back and are probably undergoing the same things. Here’s to friends, Coldplay, and IB kids, I’ve got your back and we’re all in this together.

Update on EE…

March 22, 2009

1. Cut 6 years off the life of my EE time span.. (zomg, a day before submission?!)

2. Cutting words off my EE now… In search for the analysis that doesn’t seem to exist.

KMN!

THE WAR IS ENDING!

March 20, 2009

EAT THAT MATH PORTFOLIO, YOU ARE FINALLY DYING. I’M PREDICTING THAT YOU’LL HOPEFULLY DIE TOMORROW MORNING. THE WAR IS ENDING. I GIVE IN TO SLEEP TONIGHT, BUT TOMORROW YOU SHALL DIE!

Rate of Reaction

March 19, 2009

Time is truly a continuous variable: it’s passing right before my eyes even as I speak. But the rate of depletion is low, much too low. C’mon girl, pick the speed up and breathe. Your EE isn’t a mess. So is the vile Math Portfolio! I think the only thing I can truly be thankful this week for this week is that work is a discrete variable. If it was in any way continuous, I’d kill myself now. (But then again, even if it was continuous I can round it off to the nearest whole number then it’d be discrete already!)

Shout to all the IB kids existing in the dark, dark, world out there: LIVE FAST, DIE YOUNG. THEN WORK WILL THEN BE INCONSEQUENTIAL. Anyone up for a motorcycle ride?

Okay, back to the dreaded EE and life in general.

The Quiet World

March 18, 2009

In an effort to get people to look
into each other’s eyes more,
the government has decided to allot
each person exactly one hundred
and sixty-seven words, per day.

When the phone rings, I put it
to my ear without saying hello.
In the restaurant I point
at chicken noodle soup. I am
adjusting well to the new way.

Late at night, I call my long
distance lover and proudly say
I only used fifty-nine today.
I saved the rest for you.

When she doesn’t respond, I know
she’s used up all her words
so I slowly whisper I love you,
thirty-two and a third times.
After that, we just sit on the line
and listen to each other breathe.

To all my friends out there who are struggling with the Math Portfolio Demon, you will/have to come out of it alive! Whenever in doubt of your assumption/equation/answer, BINGE. Because that’s the only thing that you can be extremely sure of. And therefore, after you BINGE by extension you will be sure of everything else that exists in the world. (That would include the Demon of a Math Portfolio) By the way, eggs with cheese is a very yummy suggestion along with Bah Kua and Ice-Cream. Trust me, tried and tested!
