I’m happy seeing that my friends happy ![]()
I’ll be upset too if they’re all not fine and dandy.

Yesterday, I Saw the Doctor. Met the Whiny (who still whines to no end!) and the Aunty (who just absorbs her whining). Interlude of work, while worrying for the Noob Ninja. Benjamin Button tells me about how futile life is.
1. Despite it being long, it was a good movie. I think the reduced length would have reduced the impact it had.
2. Aging may not be such a bad thing after all. If we live by the theory that the only constant is change, then something has to change whether we age forward or backwards. I would still like to stick to the conventional norm. I can’t see myself reducing in size as I grow old.
3. The predictability of the show is such that gives viewers that sinking feeling of the futility of life. BUT, the themes that underscore the show is such that even though life is futile, and we know that there is an end (regardless of what that end is whether in infancy or in old age) it’s the events in life that matter. We are indeed defined by our choices we make.
4. I think other than Change, Love is a constant. Only on the assumption that someone learns how to love. I don’t know how people can love once and turn around and allow their live to be governed by hate and despair afterward. Love has got to be mutual. It takes two hands to clap, so it must take two people to love.
5. I liked Daisy’s character more than Benjamin’s. Hers was more complex and in-depth in my opinion. I thought Cate Blanchett did better than Brad Pitt

I know of someone who goes shopping, and spends a few moments deciding when to try on clothes. After proceeding to trying on the garment, that person folds it and places it back! If only all customers were like that, and maybe it might just make the day of the salesperson.
Miracles
February 21, 2009
The common sentiment at present is the incessant gripes that people have for the amount of work that they have yet to complete. What remains to be seen is how people end up achieving it: it’s pretty amazing if you ask me! Which is why I like to believe that being in IB you experience miracles everyday. The completion of an assignment never fails to amaze me. I constantly ponder about the workings of my brain because I never seem to remember being able to write all those things down. The capacity required for assignments is something I doubt I possess, and that is why upon completion we raise up our hands and rejoice! I think it’s an even greater miracle in itself that I am able to sit down and complete something. My attention span of late is very short. It needs to revert itself to it’s O Level state. Other than that… Join me in my quest for miracles to happen! Thank you.
This is my valiant attempt to embody positivity and hope. Do support my cause.

The conclusion of math tuition which leads to the start of my quiet walk home underneath the night sky, and perhaps accompanied by a phone call.

Things that Make Me Smile #2

I like surprises. It’s nice to be without expectation and out of the blue, someone randomly does something nice for you without any particular reason in mind. Second thing that makes me smile I guess!
(Today while drawing a Sad Robot, a friend noticed I got sadder while drawing it! I swear, Sad Robot has its effects on me, other than that, success in being happy today!)
On another note, I really like demilitarized zones. I think it’s quite cool to be in the middle of a potential cross fire and still be completely at ease.

Given the intensity of this week… I think it’s timely if I do a Things that Make Me Smile post a day!
As pointless as it sometimes seems, I enjoy buying balloons for people. I think looking at a helium balloon makes me smile for absolutely no reason at all. It’s under my list of happy looking things. I think all the sad people out there should start googling “helium balloons”, maybe it might just make your day.
(I think i have more than 7 things that make me smile, maybe, I’ll do more than one a day? heh)
Ok, back to some work.
